For example the in-house design department has proven very popular with companies like Ogilvie because it reduces the turnaround time on technical drawings, having a knock on effect of reducing overall project time. CMS set up the department after identifying the value added business benefit to their customers through consultation at partnering meetings for previous large scale construction projects. This type of proactive work method is an ethos in CMS and allows them to stay ahead of the competition. CMS Enviro Systems also provides a reactive and cyclical maintenance service for RSL's. This includes a 2 hour emergency call-out service and ensures the company is equipped to be the RSL's total windows partner.

Information is power

CMS have implemented a customer tracking portal this is linked to a bar code tracking system at our Cumbernauld manufacturing facility. With this technology it gives our customers the power to track online from quotation through to delivery.

In addition, another system upgrade means CMS Service Engineers now receive their work electronically on handheld devices, which has eradicated unnecessary journeys to the office to receive worksheets.

Increased management reporting capabilities is an added benefit of both systems. At the click of a button we can now tell RSLs how many times we have visited a particular property. In the past gathering this type of data could be labour intensive and time consuming.
